Rule Of Law Will Be Our Guiding Principles – Fayemi

The Ekiti State Governor, Dr. Kayode Fayemi has said that he would continue to make due process and rule of law the cornerstone of his administration.
The Governor who gave the assurance in his goodwill message at the first Ekiti State Justice Week holding in Ado said his administration would continue to provide the necessary support to enable the Ministry of Justice perform its statutory duties. He noted that the State Government was conscious of the important roles the ministry plays in the quick dispensation of justice in the state.

Fayemi who was represented by the Special Adviser on Legal Matters, Mr. Opeyemi Dare congratulated the Attorney General and staff of the ministry on the first law week being held in the State.
In his address, the State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Hon. Dayo Akinlaja lauded the State Government for its achievements by being the first state in the Federation to domesticate the FOI bill and the Gender Based Violence Prohibition bill.
The Commissioner said that the administration of justice in the state could be described as primus inter pares despite all challenges being faced.

The first Ekiti State Justice Week paraded many stakeholders in the administration of Justice who had made meaningful contributions to issues raised during the opening session. The Acting Chief Judge of Ekiti State, Justice Ayodeji Daramola who was represented by Justice Cornelius Akintayo concluded the session by asking for greater synergy amongst the various stakeholders in the administration of justice.
