Ekiti State Governor, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, has congratulated Professor Biyi Daramola on his appointment as the new Vice Chancellor of the Federal Universiiy of Technology, Akure, (FUTA).
The Governor in a congratulatory message on Friday, described Daramola’s appointment as well deserved, timely and a reward for hard work and excellence.
He said the appointment is another attestation to the global reputation Ekiti has acquired as the nation’s intellectual power house.
Governor Fayemi expressed delight that Daramola’s appointment came shortly after fellow Ekiti indigenes, Prof Tale Omole, Prof Bolaji Aluko and Prof Patrick Aina were appointed Vice Chancellors of Obafemi Awolowo University, (OAU), Ile- Ife, Federal University, Otuoke, Bayelsa State and the Ekiti State University, (EKSU) Ado-Ekiti respectively.
He promised that his administration would give Daramola maximum support to succeed in his new assignment as FUTA Vice Chancellor.
Governor Fayemi urged Daramola to use his wealth of experience to turn around the fortunes of the university and make it a prominent citadel of academic excellence.
