While commending the gesture of Mr Arokodare, Dr. Fayemi said the revamping of the education sector should not be left to government alone  as a collective effort from both government and individuals and organisations would bring again the state education sector to the lead.

The Governor who stated that the exclusion of schools such as Christ’s school, Ekitiparapo High School and Doherty College in the first phase of Operation Renovate All Schools (ORASE) was not unconnected to the fact that they have considerable assiatnce from their alumni while many other schools which made the first list do not have ready help.

Fayemi expressed optimism that the quality of education will improve when there is conducive learning and accommodation facility for the students, especially as the state is blessed with quality teachers.

Also speaking during the inspection tour, the caretaker Chairman of Ijero local government, Mr Biodun Omoleye said his administration at the council has been working to improve the condition of schools in the local government even as he added that no fewer than ten primary schools which are in a state of dilapidation have been set aside for intervention from the local government.

He added that his administration has not limited its efforts to the education sector but also to youth empowerment as skills acquisition training is on-going for youths drawn from different towns across the local government.
