Feyisetan Fayose Becomes NAWOJ Partroness

  • PLEDGES TO SUPPORT GIRL CHILD EDUCATION

The wife of Ekiti State Governor, Mrs. Feyisetan Fayose has said that she would support activities aimed at arousing the interest of the girl child in sciences subject.

Speaking in Ado-Ekiti while receiving representatives of the State Chapter of the Nigerian Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ) led by its Chairperson, Mrs. Oluwayomi Osuntokun who were on a courtesy visit to her office, Mrs. Fayose lamented the prevailing poor performance of students in Maths related subjects.

The Governor’s wife, who graciously accepted the honor of being the Matron of the Association, assured that she support the laudable activities of the association, adding that she would readily back any effort at improving the lot of the people particularly the girl child.

In her remarks, the Chairperson of the Ekiti State Chapter of the Nigerian Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ), Mrs. Oluwayomi Osuntokun congratulated the governor’s wife on the emergence of her husband as the governor of the state.

Mrs. Osuntokun explained that her association was organizing programmes aimed at improving the performance of the girl-child in science subjects and solicited the support of the governor’s wife for the programmes which she said included a quiz that has been slated to hold in December, 2014.

She also pledged the support of the association for the success of the programmes and activities of the Governor’s wife.
