Ekiti State government in collaboration with federal ministry of communicatio technology in parntnership with the Rockefeller Foundation has held a one day training project with the Theme- The digital Jobs Africa (micro work).
The training which was held at Bishop Abiodun Adetiloye hall in Ado-Ekiti has 800 youths in attendance, the youths were trained on how to access on-line jobs which is commonly called micro work.
The youths in their numbers were charged to creating jobs for themselves by doing on-line jobs (free lanser) instead of been a job seekers.
The facilitators stressed the importance of the training saying the on-line jobs is not a network business, a yahoo yahoo nor a forex trading business, hence a need for on-line self marketing platform to proffer solutions to potential client problems.
In an interview with some of the participants Miss Rita, she said the programme has actually broadened her knowledge in the area of on-line jobs.
Another participants, Mr Abayomi on his part said he appreciates the effort of the Ekiti State Government and the federal ministry of communication for bringing this opportunity to their door step saying he has learnt how to be independent of himself and create jobs on his own instead of been a job seeker.
