The Deputy Governor, Dr. Kolapo Olusola gave the advice while receiving 50 copies of a book titled “Physics Practical Handbook with Alternative to Practical” authored by Mrs. Folu Oluyemi Stephen, a Physics teacher in Egirioke High School, Iyin-Ekiti in his office.

Dr. Olusola said that he was impressed when he saw the content of the book authored by a teacher in the service of Ekiti State Government and there and then indicated his readiness to support such a teacher who ventured into book writing as a way of self- development and income generation.

According to the Deputy Governor, he requested for 50 copies of the book during the unscheduled visit to the school which the author said were not readily available at the time as a result of financial constraints to produce more copies of the book.

The Deputy Governor who paid a cash sum of N100, 000.00 for the 50 copies presented to him in his office, said it was to motivate her ingenuity and as well encourage others that there is dignity and good reward for creativity and labor.

Responding, the author of the book, Mrs. Folu Oluyemi Stephen expressed her appreciation to the Deputy Governor for his generosity and support for her, adding that the financial support is a morale booster for her and that the N100, 000.00 cash given by the Deputy Governor would be used to offset part of the production cost she is
still owing the publisher.

Mrs. Oluyemi Stephen who placed the current average production cost of the book at about N500.00 per copy appealed to the Deputy Governor and the Ekiti State Government to help her promote the book by
recommending it to all secondary schools in Ekiti State.
