Ekiti State governor, Mr Ayodele Fayose has charged the outgoing 2016 Batch ‘A’ Corps members posted to the state to remain resolute and trust in God for a greater future.
The governor gave the charge at the Government House Chapel, venue of the Passing out thanksgiving for the outgoing Christian Corps members.
He emphasized that God has a way of positioning one’s life to fulfill destiny irrespective of age, status or background, citing the case of the Biblical Sarah who got a child at an extremely old age.
Fayose encouraged the Corps members to be focused and courageous, noting that the future remains bright if they trust in God. He said there is nothing too hard for God, citing his second chance as the governor of the state after a period of eight years in the wilderness.
Chaplain of the government House Chapel, Pastor Seyi Olusola enjoined the outgoing Corps members to always depend on God and serve Him faithfully. He assured them of God’s favour as they move to another phase of their lives.
State Director of NYSC, Barr Nwano Eze Ukagha said the thanksgiving was to show appreciation to God for keeping the Corps members all through the period of their Service in the state.
She noted that Muslim Corps members of the Batch had held their own thanksgiving earlier in a mosque in the state to return all glories to God for successful Service year.
High point of the programme was a musical display by the Corps members in appreciation to God.
