Ekiti Labour Leaders Pledges Support For Fayose Led Administration

The labour leaders in the state have reiterated their support for the Ayo fayose led administration in the state.

They gave their support at the monthly meeting of the Technical Committee on Remuneration and Fiscal measures in the state public service held at Governors’ office, Ado Ekiti.

The TUC  chairman in the state Comrade Odunayo Adesoye commended Gov.Fayose on his laudable programmes & Transparency policy in the state. 

He stated that Gov. Fayose was the most transparent governor in the country, nothing that whenever the monthly Allocation was received that he always carry the Union leaders along on how to spend it judiciously.

In his own response,the NLC chairman in the state comrade Ade Adesanmi disclosed that they discussed issues that  border on finances of the state, stating expressely that the Union would get the workers & the general public informed when the state government received the second tranche of the Paris Club Refund.

On the issue of budget support to the state governments, Adesanmi, noted that the Support which was to run for 12 months has been exhausted but pleaded with the Federal Government to extend the policy so as to be able to meet their financial obligations.

The labour leaders commended the governor,  Mr Ayodele Fayose for being a worker-friendly governor who has continued to make payment of salaries his priority.

Other members of the committee who were at the meeting at this month edition include  commissioner for Finance Chief. Toyin Ojo, the Head of Service Dr. Gbenga Faseluka, the state Accountant General Mrs O. Owolabi, permanent Secretary ministry of Finance Mr Yemi Owoseeni & other notable labour leader.
