Governor Fayose Identifies With Muslims on Ramadan

The Ekiti State Governor, Mr Ayodele Fayose has reiterated his administration’s commitment to the welfare of Ekiti people irrespective of their political or religious affiliation.

The Governor gave the reassurance after he distributed food items worth millions of naira to Muslim groups to observe Ramadan fast held at the old governor’s office in Ado-Ekiti.

The Governor represented by the Special Adviser on Political matters to the Governor, Alhaji Dauda Ajise and Personal Assistant to the Governor on stomach infrastructure Mr Sunday Anifowose said the gesture was in fulfilment of the concept of stomach infrastructure programme of the present administration.

According to Alhaji Ajise the Governor had distributed food items to Muslim communities in all the sixteen local government areas despite economic recession in the country.

Also, Mr Sunday Anifowose explained that the distribution of the goodies had no political colouration. Some of the beneficiaries who represented their group included president of FUMWAN Dr Mrs Adubiaro, head of Hausa community, Alahaji Musa kanga among others thanked the governor for the food items.

They said the action of the governor proved that he was not bias to the Muslim faithful. Among the food items distributed were Bags of Rice, Semo, Wheat, sugar, salt and spaghetti.
