People living with disabilities in Ekiti State have commended Governor Ayodele Fayose for making their welfare topmost priority despite the economic recession in the country.
The chairman physically challenged Association Ekiti State chapter, Mr Akin Obanishe made this known when he led other members at a meeting with the Governor held at the government House in Ado.
He said that government had done well in providing social security scheme for his members numbering up to 200 people.
Mr Obanishe pleaded with the governor to sponsor them in skill acquisition and capacity programmes.
Responding, governor Ayodele Fayose said that he would consider the provision of some of their requests within the state financial capacity.
He ordered that 50 slots should be added to their social security welfare for their members. The Governor also directed that one of them Mr Emmanuel Toba a graduate of Electrical Engineering from the Polytechnic Ibadan be given automatic employment at the Ministry of Works after displaying his musical talent for the Governor.
