The Strength of my Administration Lies With Teachers – Fayose

Governor of Ekiti state Dr. Ayodele Fayose has said that the strength of his administration in Ekiti state lies exclusively with teachers. 

Speaking in Ado- Ekiti today during the commissioning and distribution of furniture to students in All Souls Anglican high school, Ado-Ekiti, Governor Ayodele Fayose lauded the efforts of the teachers and noted that they are the major reason for the educational successes recorded in the state since the inception of his administration. 

“In any nation, education is key and it is the duty of teachers and government to provide quality education. In Ekiti, I stand with the teachers as they are my backbone and the strength of my administration. Ekiti has crossed major milestones in education including coming first in NECO examinations for the past 2 years. It is important to note that this is so because we have teachers who are resilient and focused in discharge of their duties, I appreciate them for that”.

While noting the indispensable nature of teachers, the Governor put forward that in ensuring qualitative education, the teachers which constitute a major and critical factor in any country ought to be treated right and with utmost care. 

In the light of this, Governor Ayodele Fayose has  procured over 1000 school lockers and chairs for selected primary and secondary secondary, aimed at addressing the dearth of furniture in schools and contributing to education restoration in terms of provision of a conducive teaching and learning environment for pupils and capacity building for teachers. 

The exercise was put in motion with the Governor’s visitation to All Souls Anglican High School, Ado-Ekiti and SUBEB Nursery and Primary school, Afao-Ekiti for the commissioning of the furnitures where he advised the students to imbibe a healthy maintenance culture so as to ensure proper usage of the furniture. 

Earlier in his welcome address, the state commissioner for education,  Honorable Jide Egunjobi expressed his gratitude to the governor for fulfilled promises and for ensuring a healthy environment for learning. 

“The Governor deserves our appreciation and gratitude for providing a face lift to schools in all areas. It is worthy of note that this administration has contributed immensely to the education sector and has recovered the lost glory of education therefore it is our responsibility to sustain the success recorded so far. “
