The COS is a very sensitive one to the translation of Mr. Governor’s agenda into a thorough implementable framework and it must be treated as such. It will consist of the following Departments:
Mr. Governor Protocol services
Government House and Protocol
Government House Clinic
Government House Infrastructure
Public Communication and Correspondence
Ekiti Holdings/EEDA
Some of the functions of the Office of the Chief of Staff include:
Coordinating the activities of the various MDAs
Scheduling the programme and itinerary of Mr. Governor. Supervising and coordinating the activities of all aides of Mr. Governor including all Special Advisers, Senior Special Assistants and Security Operatives
Matters on the various Parastatals, Agencies to be channeled to the Executive Governor through the Chief of Staff
Supervising Government House and Protocol Department
In conjunction with necessary Agencies and functionaries of Government, facilitate the access of Ekiti State quota in all Federal constitutional bodies; Federal Character Commission etc
Facilitate smooth interface of the Office of the Governor and others
Work towards the promotion of a good image of the Governor’s Office and his Person
Any other duty as may be assigned by Mr. Governor
Hon. Adeyemi Adaramodu
Hon. Adeyemi Adaramodu was born on Born November 17, 1964 in Ilawe-Ekiti, Headquarters of Ekiti South West Local Government Area of Ekiti State to Chief and Chief Mrs. Dada Adaramodu
He is a graduate of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife with a Bachelor degree from the Faculty of Environmental Studies. After his graduation in 1985; he served through the NYSC scheme as Information Officer at the NYSC Secretariat, Abeokuta.
He works at Gideon Associates, an Architectural outfit and Salem Media, Mokola in Ibadan between 1986 and 1987. He later joined the African Newspapers Plc (Publisher of the Tribune Newspaper Titles) in Ibadan. Where he rose from being an Illustrator/Cartoonist to Assistant Editor(Graphics), Deputy Editor and Corporate Affairs Manager.
He was the Executive Chairman of Ekiti South West Local Government Area between 1994 and 1995.
He has won many professional awards among which are:
British Council Foreign Office and Commonwealth Awards in 1990/91
Best Cartoonist of the year 1990, 1991 and 1992 and 1995
Nigerian Media Merit Award 1991
National Orientation Agency Best Local Government Chairman Award 1994 (Ondo State)
Fellow, Institute of Local Government and Administration of Nigeria.
Presently, the Chief of Staff to Ekiti State Governor.
