Educational Institution:
There are six (6) Secondary Schools and Seventeen Primary Schools located in the Local Government Area offering the desired education to the young ones. Each of the communities has at least one Secondary School and there is none without at least, one Primary School.

• Ipere Community High School, Ipere-Ekiti

The Primary Schools are located in all the seven communities such that each community has two or three Primary Schools. There are also Private Secondary and Primary Schools located in the Local Government Areas.

• General Hospital Iye-Ekiti
• Comprehensive Health Centres spreads across the towns and villages.

Security:
The Chairman of the Local Government is the Chief Security Officer. The maintenance of law and order is the sole responsibilities of the security agencies who all have their presence in the Local Government in collaboration with the communities.
We have the following agencies in the Local Government Areas;

• The Nigeria Police Force
• The State Security Services
• The Civil Defence Corps.

To complement the effort of the law-enforcement agencies, there is a Magistrate Court located at Iye-Ekiti: with some Customary Courts in the Local Government Areas.
