<p>To effectively develop and harness the full potentials of Ekiti women, children, persons with disabilities and other vulnerable people.</p>
<strong>Mission:</strong>
<ul>

<li>To provide an enabling environment for women, children, persons with disabilities and other vulnerable people to maximize their potentials;</li>
<li>To ensure the protection of the rights of all citizens of Ekiti in a violent-free society.</li>
<li>To provide equal opportunities for the development and advancement of women, persons with disabilities and other vulnerable people in Ekiti State; </li>
<li>To provide succor for the less privileged and persons requiring social intervention.</li>

<strong>Functions:</strong>
<p>The major functions of the Ministry include:</p>
<ul>
<li>Creating enabling environment for women, children, persons with disabilities and other vulnerable persons. Towards actualizing this, the Child’s Rights Law, Equal Opportunities Law and Gender-Based Violence (Prohibition) Law were put in place.</li>
<li>The Ministry collaborates with the Local Government, Federal Ministry of Women Affairs & Social Development, Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs), and Development partners in the implementation of its program-mes.</li>
