The Government of Ekiti State has begun the upgrading of the State’s primary healthcare facilities starting with the Primary Healthcare Centre in Okeyinmi, Ado Ekiti.

The first stage will cover 9 facilities across some local governments while our goal is to upgrade at least one primary healthcare facility in all the 177 wards in Ekiti State.

This project will be executed with the invaluable assistance of members of the COVID-19 Response Resource Mobilization Committee.

Government is also undertaking additional construction work in EKSUTH and Oba Adejugbe Infectious Disease Hospital. Additionally, government shall soon embark on the upgrading of all our secondary health facilities across the State.

  1. I would also like to mention that most of those who find themselves with no health insurance are typically students, self-employed and people who are without a job. More than half of the uninsured are under the age of Thirty-five. They do not feel they are requiring health insurance because they’re young as well as healthy. Their particular income is frequently spent on property, food, along with entertainment. Many individuals that do go to work either entire or part time are not given insurance by means of their jobs so they move without because of the rising valuation on health insurance in the states. Thanks for the concepts you talk about through this website.
