Ekiti State House of Assembly has lifted the suspension placed on two out of the twelve suspended members of the Assembly over their involvement in the passage of the Ten Billion naira supplementary budget towards the tail end of the tenure of the immediate past administration of Chief Ayodele Fayose.

Their recalled followed the presentation of the report of the ad-hoc committee in respect of the letter of appologies of the affected members at the House plenary in Ado Ekiti.

Chairman of the ad-hoc committee, Hon. Akinniyi Sunday, said the suspended members have demonstrated relative humility and modesty in their conduct during the suspension period.

Hon. Akinniyi disclosed that the Committee discovered that the duo never run contrary to the restraint placed on them.

The Committee called for the reinstatement of the two lawmakers forthwith to enable them exercise their legislative role.

The report was unanimously adopted by the members while the Speaker of the House, Rt Hon Adeniran Alagbada commended the committee for its speedy action and charged the two Lawmakers to join their colleagues in moving the state forward.

Meanwhile, the bill on Ekiti State Sustainable Development Goals, 2019 has been passed by the Assembly while the State Property Protection ( Anti = Land Grabbing) Bill, 2019 was committed to the House Committee on Lands and Housing for further legislative scrutiny.

The two recalled Lawmakers are Hon. Temitope Fasanmi, Ado Constituency 11, and Hon. Adewale Ayeni, Ikere Constituency 1
