Ekiti State Government has promoted 14 principals of public secondary schools to special grade level 17.
The Chairman of the Teaching Service Commission, Prince Bayo Adeniran who made this known while monitoring activities in public schools after resumption from the 2nd term holiday, said that the gesture was part of the transformational agenda of the Fayemi led administration.
Prince Adeniran noted that the action would motivate teachers and boost their morale towards achieving the desired standard of education in the state.
Reiterating the resolve of the present administration to guaranteeing job satisfaction for its workforce, the TESCOM boss charged teachers to reciprocate government’s gesture by being dedicated to their duties and living up to their responsibilities.
He warned that government would not tolerate truancy as well as other forms of indiscipline and lawlessness, stressing that principals and teachers have the responsibility of living by example and enforcing necessary order in public schools to sustain development in the institutions.
Adeniran also advised parents and guardians to ensure that their children and wards take advantage of the provision of a conducive learning environment by the state government to secure their future.
