Redeployment Of All General Managers In The Ministry Of Agriculture and Natural Resources

In his bid to achieve the current administration item Three (3) in his 8 point agenda focusing on modernizing agriculture and strengthening the sector intervention operations. The Ekiti State Governor, Dr. kayode Fayemi has approved the immediate redeployment of all General Managers in the Parastatals of the Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Resources.

According to a statement from the office of the Permanent Secretary Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Resources, Mrs. Funmilayo Ajayi, the affected Officials are, Mr. Olusegun Fadare who was the Programme Manager of Ekiti State Agric Development Programme now moved to Fountain Agriculture Marketing Agency (FAMA) while Mr. Yinka Afolabi of Fountain Agricultural Marketing Agency now takes over Farm Settlement and Peasant Farming Development.

Engr. Kayode Ilesanmi of Farm Settlement and Peasant Farming Development will now head Ekiti State Agricultural Development Program while continuing as the Task Team Leader, for the State Agricultural Transformation Agenda.

Some Directors were equally affected in the restructuring. They are Mr. Rufus Arabi who was the Director of Tree Crops Unit of the Ministry now moved to ADP as Director Extension Services while Alade Adegboye now takes over as Director Tree Crops Unit.
Mr. Olumide Fatoba formally the State Project Coordinator of Fadama III is now the Director Agricultural Services of the Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Resource, while Mr. Gbenga Odesanmi former Director Agricultural Services Development now moved to Fountain Marketing Agency to assist the General Manager.

The Permanent Secretary said the repositioning exercise was imperative to unleash vibrancy and allow maximum benefit of new innovation, energy and effective conduct of MDAs Management activities within the sector.
In addition to the redeployment, the State Government had been assisted by UNDP to procure high-Tech working tools and equipment ranging from laptops, scanners and Utility vehicles to consolidate field operations in the coming years
The permanent Secretary enjoined all staff of Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Resources to reciprocate these gestures by putting in their best in the years ahead and maintain the newly procured equipments judiciously
