Okuta-Gbokuta-Lori, one of the natural wonders and gifts of nature located in Okeyimi area of Ado-Ekiti is to be developed into a Tourist Centre by the state government. This Special Adviser to the Governor on Tourism Development, Engr. Segun Ologunleko who made this known during a visit to the site said the captivating rock formation would be developed into a tourist spot by the State Government along-side Olota Hills, which is just about 500 metres away.
He added that the Ureje dam shoreline in Ado-Ekiti and River Oni in Efon-Alaye are some of tourist attractions identified for development the Fayemi-administration.
Engineer Ologunleko emphasized the need to sanitize the area which has been littered with human faeces and refuse and to dislodge miscreants who have converted the area into an arena for selling and consumption of Indian-hemp and other illicit substances.
Meanwhile, the Commissioner for Environment , Hon Paul Omotosho who accompanied. the Special Adviser on Tourism on the visit has directed the State Waste Management Board to come up with a proposal on how to carry out a massive clean-up exercise of the area.
