Ekiti State Government has said that it would continue to cooperate with Federal Government agencies in the state towards enhancing service delivery to the people.

Speaking while receiving by the Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Engr. Rendon Kumven in his office in Ado-Ekiti, the Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji (Dr.) Ganiyu Owolabi called for greater collaboration between the Road Safety Corps and the Ekiti State Traffic Management Agency (ESTMA) with the aim of reducing carnage on roads in the State.

Alhaji Owolabi described the duty of Road Safety Corps as very important in ensuring peace on the highways and reducing road accidents and its attendant loss of lives and property.

Responding, the Sector Commander of Federal Road Safety Corps in Ekiti State, Engr. Rendon Kumven stated that his command would leave no stone unturned towards reducing road accidents to the barest minimum.

He said that the Command would establish mini commands at Efon/Aramoko, Ikole and some parts of the state to make it easy for people to obtain and renew driver’s licence.

While pledging the command’s support for ESTMA, the Sector Commander solicited the continued support of the state government, emphasising his command’s need for utility vehicles and accommodation which he said would enhance the operation of the agency.
