We Are Committed To Building Durable Roads- Fayemi

Ekiti State Governor, Dr Kayode Fayemi during the inspection of construction work on the Fajuyi-Basiri road in Ado-Ekiti... recently.

Ekiti State Governor, Dr.Kayode Fayemi, has reiterated the commitment of his administration to the construction of  quality and durable road networks  in the state.

The Governor stated this while inspecting  ongoing construction work on the Fajuyi-Basiri Road, in Ado-Ekiti, the state capital at the weekend.

The existing road has been excavated and refilled with heavy stones to prevent the base from collapsing soon.

Fayemi added that his administration is interested in constructing roads that would stand the test of time and which would not cause problems for successive administrations.

He described work done by the contractor handling the project, especially the asphalt overlaying of the road   as “very good”.

The roads  Fajuyi-Basiri road, as well as Old garage-Ajilosun road, Ijigbo-Ilawe road and Ikere-Ado road are to be completely re-asphalted, in the bid to give the state capital a lift.
