Fayemi, Fashola Eulogize Bishop Adebiyi

Ekiti State Governor, Dr. Kayode Fayemi and his Lagos State counterpart, Mr. Babatunde Fashola (SAN) have commended the Anglican Bishop of Lagos West, Rt. Revd Peter Adebiyi for his roles in the sustenance of democracy in the country, saying that his wise counsels have been quite  beneficial to the two states.

Adebiyi, though a serving Anglican Bishop in Lagos State, hails from Ekiti State and is one of the notable ambassadors of the state.

Speaking in Lagos at the presentation of the Bishop Adebiyi’s  new book: “Let the Nations Hear”, the Ekiti State Governor said the state was proud of the cleric not only because he always speak truth to power but also for the works he has done on the history of Christianity in Ekiti.

Dr. Fayemi who assured that copies of the new book would be procured for all institutions in the state, said the inclusion of Bishop Adebiyi as a brand Ambassador of the state was no coincidence as he represents the values for which Ekiti people are known.

Also speaking, the Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Raji Fashola commended the generosity of the Bishop especially the wise and inspiring counsels that he gives to the Lagos State Government; adding that they have been beneficial to the leadership of the state.
