EKSG Completes 144 Lock-Up Shops At Agric Olope

Ekiti State Government has completed the construction of 144 lock-up shops located at Agric. Olope area of Ado Metropolis.

The Chairman of the State Urban Renewal Agency, Engr. Babatunde Fakoyede  made this  known while addressing journalists in Ado.  Engr. Fakoyede said that the lock-up shops were meant for those whose properties would be affected by the on-going dualisation of Ojumose- Old Garage road,  Baptist Church – Atikankan road in  the Ado-Ekiti City Centre.
He said that apart from the144 lock-up shops, two large ware houses which are to be used for the storage of bulk goods coming from outside the state have also been completed.

The Agency Boss also said  work has reached an advanced stage  on another 120 new open market stores  designed  for  market women  to sell  their goods, adding that the project would be completed very soon. Speaking on the on-going construction of the walk-way along the state capital,  Fakoyede disclosed that the agency suspended work  on the project in some areas of the state capital  to allow  the  ongoing construction of roads.
The Chairman appealed to people who have their shops affected in the ongoing  construction to endure the pain  stressing that ultimate of the project  was to make the state capital accessible and attractive to investors .
