An appeal has gone to all religious leaders in Ekiti State to always lead by example. The Chairman of the Council of Obas in the State, Owa Ooye of Okemesi, Oba Gbadebo Adedeji made the appeal when the retiring Arch-bishop of Ekiti Anglican Diocese Most Rev. Samuel Adedayo Abe paid a fare-well visit to the Traditional Council of Obas in Ado.
Oba Adedeji commended Archbishop Abe for his dedication and faithfulness during his service years.
Also, the Alare of Are, Oba Boluwade Adebiyi, the Oore of Otun, Oba Oladapo Popoola, Onisan of Isan, Oba Sunday Ajiboye, Oluyin of Iyin, Oba Ademola Ajakaye showered encomium on the retiring Arch-bishop for his effort towards the upliftment of Anglican Churches in Ekiti State.
Arch-bishop Abe who was accompanied by other Anglican Clerics stressed the need to always pray for the monarchs and government of the state.
The retiring Arch-bishop thanked the Obas for their support and co-operation throughout his service years.
Arch-Bishop Abe will retire on June 22, 2012 when he attains the retirement age of Seventy years, having worked for forty two years in the House of the Lord.
