EKSU Acquires N200 Million Engineering Equipment

As part of efforts to transform the Ekiti State University Ado-Ekiti (EKSU) into in Centre of Excellence with global acclaim, the Ekiti State Government has procured Engineering equipment worth N200million for the University

Ekiti State Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Dr Eniola Ajayi who  made this known  in Ado-Ekiti during  a  ministerial Press Briefing Organized by the Ministry of Information and Civic Orientation  disclosed that  EKSU had  established linkages with major universities across the world with a view to making the institution a centre of learning and research .

Dr. Ajayi noted that the efforts of the state government to attract corporate bodies to invest in critical infrastructure in the university has started to yield positive results as First Bank PLC  has agreed to construct a  N23 million- recreational  centre for the institution while another financial institution ,GTBank Plc had also agreed to establish  an ICT centre in the ivory tower.
She also disclosed that the global internet giant, Google had agreed to provide wireless internet access across the entire University environment.

Dr. Ajayi also disclosed that the University had within the last few months cleared  4 outstanding convocations  of the institution from
2006-2010.
She stated that solar lights had been installed in the campus while the contract for the perimeter fencing of the university had been awarded at a cost of N19million.
