The resolve of the Ekiti State Government to continually promote transparency, accountability and good Governance would not be compromised.
State Commissioner for Information and Civic Orientation Hon. Fuminiyi Afuye reaffirmed this during a ministerial press briefing addressed by the State Commissioner for Agriculture and Natural Resources, Mr. Babajide Arowosafe at the Cultural Centre, State Secretariat Road, Ado Ekiti.
Hon Afuye who hinged his assertion on the need to carry the people along in the business of Governance said that Governor Kayode Fayemi is irrevocably committed to the implementation of programmes and policies that would banish poverty from Ekiti and land make life worth
living for all and sundry.
According to him, modernising agriculture which is Agenda 3 of the admiration’s 8-point manifesto is aimed at engaging the youths with a view to providing employment and making them self reliant.
He explained that one of the pillars of constitutional democracy is the right to know and be informed of the running of government.
The Government spokesman said that no Ekiti man irrespective of religious or political affiliation will be in the dark of what government is doing as the Ekiti Project is the collective responsibility of all.
Hon Afuye used the forum to charge the people of Ekiti State to offer constructive criticisms and offer useful advice to Government to enable it make amends when necessary.
While soliciting the support of the people, he assured them that the Fayemi-led administration is out to better their lots.
