Ekiti Primary Health Care Boss Tasks Health Workers

The Chairman of the Ekiti State Primary Health Care Development Agency (PHCDA) Dr. Sule Lawal has charged staff of the agency to justify government’s huge investment in the health sector by being alive to their responsibilities at all times.
Speaking during his maiden meeting with members of staff of the agency, Dr. Lawal stressed the commitment of government to enhance personal efficiency and effective service delivery.
Dr. Lawal reiterated the resolve of the state government to leave no stone unturned at improving the lots of health workers, adding that the implementation of the CONHESS and CONMESS salary structure was an indication that the Fayemi- led administration was committed to the welfare of health workers in the state.
Commending the workers for their commitment to duty, the agency boss emphasised that there was room for improvement towards achieving the administration’s objective of prompt health care delivery to the grassroots.
He solicited the support of the workers for the Board members, emphasising the need for them to be innovative and stay abreast of government’s health programmes in order to achieve optimum result.

Earlier, the Permanent Secretary of the Agency, Mrs Folakemi Falore had said that this year’s budget had covered the construction of a life saving skills Training Centre (LSS) as well as a warehouse where health equipment would be stored.
Highlighting some of the achievements of the agency to include effective monitoring of all PHC facilities and continual service of immunization programmes in the 16 LGAs, Mrs Falore said the State Task Force on polio eradication was also set up by the State Government.
