Ekiti SUBEB Partners UBEC To Train 4,000 Teachers

Ekiti State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) in conjunction with Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC) has commenced the training of 4,000 primary and junior secondary school teachers across the State.
Speaking with newsmen shortly after the commencement of training programme in Ado-Ekiti, the Chairman of the Board, Professor Modupe Adelabu stressed the willingness of the state government to continue to update the knowledge of teachers with a view to exposing them to the most modern teaching methods.
The chairman who spoke through the Permanent Secretary of SUBEB noted that the training programme was organized for teachers as part of efforts to enhance learning and teaching processes in public schools.
Prof Adelabu added that the teachers were being trained in English, Yoruba and French languages, Information Communication Technology, Mathematics, Science and School Administration in four centres located at Ado, Ijero, Ikere and Ikole.
She expressed satisfaction on the large turnout of participants at all the designated centres noting that government was irrevocably committed  to improving the standard of education in the State.

One of the participants, Mr. Oluwatoyin Ojo in a chat with newsmen ,expressed joy on the calibre of resource persons at the workshop and thanked the state government and  the SUBEB Chairman Prof. Modupe Adelabu for organizing the workshop.
Mr. Ojo promised on behalf of other participants to utilize the knowledge gained at the workshop to further improve the knowledge of the school pupils towards revamping the lost glory of education in the state.
