EKSG Gives Proprietors October 2 Deadline To Register Schools

Ekiti State government has given proprietors of 131 private primary and secondary schools in the state October 2, 2012 deadline to properly register their institutions or have them closed down.

A statement from the state Ministry of Education, Science and Technology directed the affected schools to also improve on their facilities before the given deadline. The statement reiterated the determination of the Fayemi-led administration to the provision of a conducive learning environment and quality education.
While stressing that government would not compromise the standard of education in the state, the statement emphasized the need for proprietors of schools to comply with government’s policy towards ensuring that the state to its pride of place in the education sector.
It stated that the proprietors should do all necessary things to attain the standard of education so that Ekiti students can compare favourably with their counterparts anywhere in the world.
