Adelabu Lauds Primary School Teachers’ Comportment In Promotion Examination

Over 3,000 teachers of public primary schools in Ekiti State participated in the just concluded promotion examination.
Speaking in Ado Ekiti on the conduct of the examination, the Chairman of the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Professor Modupe Adelabu expressed satisfaction with the comportment of the teachers throughout the period of the examination.
Professor Adelabu who stressed that she was proud of the carriage of the teachers in the state, assured that the Fayemi administration will not relent efforts at improving their lots.

The SUBEB Chairman said over 10,000 teachers have been sponsored for training in different discipline in the preceding years while rural allowance has been approved for teachers in rural areas.
She noted that car and housing loans for teachers have been approved, adding that government would continue to make teachers’ welfare a priority.

Adelabu however stressed the belief of the state government in quality assurance, emphasizing that the present administration would not compromise on the issue of the ability of teachers in the state to perform optionally.

She noted that government has invested so much on the basic level education, saying that Early Child Care Development Centre (ECCDC) has been established in each of the three senatorial districts of the state.

Prof Adelabu appealed to primary school teachers to work harder in order to achieve the desired result, stressing that the basic level education which she described as the foundation of academic career should be solid.
