He noted that the 7th edition of the free health mission by the administration was accorded special priority noting that it is being executed as constituency projects of the members of the State House of Assembly.

Fayemi stressed that the three arms of government are conscious of the health needs of the people at the grassroots, adding that the awareness led to the collaborative effort of the legislative and executive arms of government on the health scheme.

Dr. Fayemi also noted that the free health mission is designed to offer medical out-patient services, dental care, eye care services, simple emergency services and provision of essential drugs.

He noted that the available evidence from the present and past health mission is the emerging diseases of cancer, hypertension, diabetes and other chronic illnesses which are beginning to afflict middle aged women and men in the state.

This according to him, constitute reasons for giving medical assistance to the people due to the fact that majority do not have enough financial power to access care early enough until the diseases get to dangerous levels.

The medical equipment presented include, lithma stethoscope, accouson sphygnomanometer, glucometers and digital sphygnonameter.

Others are Accucheck strips, weighing scales with stadiometer, baby weighing scales and digital thermometers.
