Students of Ekiti Origin in Tertiary institutions have been advised to apply for the State’s Scholarship and bursary through the state’s
website.
The State Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Mr. Kehinde Ojo gave the advice in Ado Ekiti while receiving representatives of Ekiti students currently studying in tertiary institution in the northern parts of the country.
Mr. Ojo who described all students of Ekiti origin as babies of the state government, assured that the present administration would
continue to accord them high priority.
The Commissioner enjoined them to always promptly submit their duly completed form to the Scholarship board for necessary action.
In another development, the Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Mr. Kehinde Ojo has charged students in tertiary
institutions to be good ambassadors of the state wherever they find themselves.
Speaking in Ado-Ekiti while receiving the leadership of the Obafemi Awolowo University chapter of The Federation of the Ekiti State Students on a courtesy visit to his office, Mr. Ojo lauded the students for exhibiting good conduct in their schools and advised them to organise an umbrella forum where all students of Ekiti State Origin in tertiary institutions worldwide could rub minds on issues affecting them.
Responding, the leader of the team and President of the Obafemi Awolowo University chapter of the Federation of the Ekiti State Students, Mr. Orebe Temitope said the students were in the state to see the ongoing transformational agenda and know more about the state.
He commended the developmental programmes of government in the Education sector and appealed to government to expedite action on the release of the student’s scholarship.
