Ekiti To Commence Disbursement Of Car, Housing Loans To Teachers In October

Ekiti State Government will commence the disbursement of car and housing loans to teachers in public primary schools in the State in October.
The State Commissioner for Education and Technology Mr. Kehinde Ojo who made this known at an interactive meeting with the head teachers of public primary schools and principals of junior secondary schools in Ado-Ekiti, the state capital, said that the gesture is in fulfillment of the promise of the present administration to make life more comfortable for teachers in the state.

The commissioner commended teachers in public schools in the state for being hard-working and supporting the efforts of government to reposition education in the state, assuring that no stone would be left unturned in the efforts at improving their standard of living.
He said the government will continue to provide necessary infrastructure and instructional materials in schools to ensure a conducive teaching and learning environment as well as motivate the teachers to effectively prepare school children for better future.

Mr. Ojo also advised teachers to rest and take good care of themselves during the holiday period, stressing that they can only be effective at work and enjoy the fruit of their labour when they are in good
health.
In her remarks, the state Deputy Governor, Prof. Modupe Adelabu explained that the interactive meeting was organized to brain storm with the head teachers and principals of public primary and secondary schools on the successful implementation of government policies in the education sector.
