Ekiti State House of Assembly has committed two bills to appropriate committees for further legislative actions.
The bills are Ekiti State College of Technical and Commercial Agriculture Bill, 2013 and Ekiti State Administration of Criminal Justice Bill, 2013.
The House at its plenary in Ado Ekiti mandated its Committee on Judiciary and Legal Matters to work on the administration of criminal justice bill while Committee on Education has the mandate to work on the College of Technical and Commercial Agriculture bill.
The two bills were among the recent nine executive bills presented to the Assembly for approval.
The Technical and Commercial Agriculture Bill seeks to establish a College of Technical and Commercial Agriculture in the state while the Administration of Criminal Justice Bill is aimed to reform
administration of criminal justice in Ekiti State.
The Majority leader of the House, Hon. Churchill Adedipe who moved the motion for the committal of the two bills after a thorough debate on them by the lawmakers, said they were aimed at enhancing democracy and good governance in the state.
