Chairman of Ekiti State Internal Revenue Service, Mr. Isola Akingbade has stressed the need for all stakeholders to contribute their quotas to the efforts at improving the standard of education and the quality of life of the people in the grassroots.
Speaking while commissioning some educational facilities donated to Ilukun Ekiti community Grammar School in Ijero Local Government Area of the state by youths and other prominent members of the community,
Mr. Akingbade said the donation would boost the quality of education in the school and urged other communities to emulate the gesture by contributing to the development of the town.
The Chairman charged both staff and students of the school to justify the good gesture by making judicious use of the facilities.
Urging the people of the town to support the second term ambition of the governor in order to enjoy more dividends of democracy, he also advised the youths to always channel their energy towards productive ventures that would enhance their fortune in life rather than engage in political thuggery and other social vices.
The Principal of the School, Mr. Taiwo Ayegbusi and the PTA Chairman, Prince Kolawole Adaralegbe commended the donors for their philanthropic gestures, adding that the facilities would boost learning and make the academic environment more conducive for both staff and students.
They solicited for more assistance in the provision of school hall and laboratory equipment ahead of the School’s preparation for its first Senior School Certificate Examination in 2016.
The items donated and commissioned include computer sets, printers, furniture’s standing and ceiling fans as well as stabilizers.
