Prof. Aluko Lived To Make Every Ekiti Indigene Proud

Ekiti State Deputy Governor, Mrs. Funmi Olayinka has described the late renowned Economist, Prof. Sam Aluko as a great Ekiti man with integrity and candour  whose analysis on financial matters have assisted the Nigerian nation out of so many messy situations in the past.

Speaking at the Commendation Service held for the late Professor at the Chapel of Annunciation, Archbishop Vinning College of Theology, Akure, she said Prof. Aluko, in his life time was very profound in his thought and prophetic in his opinion when it comes to economic issues, adding that he will not only be missed by his family and Nigerians alone, but also by economy analysts and scholars across the globe.

Olayinka who said the present leadership of Ekiti State was proud to have known and tapped from the deceased fountain of invaluable knowledge and experience explained that death, being a necessary end has come for the economist of repute at a time that everybody in the state needed him most, especially now that we are embarking on
collective rescue mission.

In a separate interview at the occasion, one of the sons of the late scholar, Barrister Olubunmi Aluko described testified that his father was a man of God, who lived for God, brought his children up in the way of God and encouraged them to live their lives to give their best to the service of humanity.

He said their father would be remembered for his hardwork and simple life style while the legacies of their father and the lives he had influenced would linger on and make them proud of him forever.
