Ekiti State Government has concluded plans to review the current security situation in the state to ensure effective policing across the state.
Governor Kayode Fayemi stated this while reacting to the death of a lawmaker Mr Micheal Adedeji who died as a result of injuries during an attack from gunmen and spate of killings in the state.
The Governor expressed concern over the porous security of the state which had claimed notable lives and stressed that stringent measures were needed to be taken to check the reoccurence of such unfortunate acts.
Dr Fayemi said Government would meet and dialogue with the heads of security operatives to strategise on the need to increase security surveillance throughout the state to ensure protection of lives.
The Governor who described the deceased as a perfect gentleman who would be greatly missed condoled the family and prayed God to grant them the forteitude to bear the irreparable loss.
