Ekiti State Governor, Dr Kayode Fayemi has commiserated with the family of the late Hon Tope Osatoyinbo, who passed on early on Saturday.
The late Osatoyinbo was the Senior Special Assistant (Mobilisation) to the Governor between 2010 and 2014.
The Governor in a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Yinka Oyebode, said he was sad and devastated by the news of Hon Osatoyinbo’s death. He said the deceased never shown any sign of illness during their recent meeting.
Dr Fayemi described Osatoyinbo’s death as a big loss to him personally, the All Progressives Congress (APC) and to his community.
The Governor who recalled his over 30 years relationship with the deceased, said he was a remarkably hardworking and forthright man, who brought unrivalled blend of energy, tact and zeal to bear on any assignment given to him.
He said Osatoyinbo’s death became even more saddening, knowing that the deceased’s wife had also died earlier in the year.
“Our prayer is that God will console and keep the children and the entire family.
“This is one painful loss. So shocking and devastating news. We shall all miss him.”, the statement added.
Signed
Yinka Oyebode
Chief Press Secretary to the Governor.
