Ekiti State Governor, Dr Kayode Fayemi has reinstated the resolve of his administration to build strong institutions across the state in order to entrench lasting legacy.
The Governor disclosed this during the presentation of the report of the Visitation Panel set up by Ekiti State Government to look into the activities of the Ekiti State University Teaching Hospital, Ado-Ekiti (EKSUTH) on Thursday.
The Governor who was represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Mr Abiodun Oyebanji, stated that the desire to entrench lasting legacies in the state institutions that informed the choice of people of value as members of various visitation panels.
While promising the panel members that all recommendations made in their reports will be thoroughly implemented, the Governor thanked them for their sacrifices in contributing their quota to the development of the state.
The Governor emphasised that the exercise was not to witch-hunt anyone but to bring the best out of existing institutions across the state.
Earlier, the Chairman of the EKSUTH Visitation Panel, Prof. Ebun Adejuyigbe, had on behalf of other members of the panel, thanked the Governor for finding them worthy to serve the state in that capacity.
She noted that various meetings were held with stakeholders as well as concerned individuals and several visitations made to the institution and it’s outstations before they arrived at their recommendations, stressing that implementation of the recommendations will move the state forward.
