Official Anouncement: EKSG/BEDC Trainee Program

Ekiti State Government, in close sponsorship collaboration with BEDC (Benin Electricity Distribution Company), announces a paid training program of Ekiti State indigenes in the Power/Electricity Industry, starting in March 2019.

There are two different training programmes. (i) Graduate Trainee Programme (GTP) and (ii) Technical Trainee Programme (TTP).

(1). The Graduate Trainee Programme will be for a duration of one-year, with the period divided into ten months on the job training and two months classroom training. The selection criteria for candidates into the programme are as follows:

(i) BSc/BTech/HND in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering,Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, Accounting, Statistics, Geography and Regional Planning.

(ii) Must possess at least Second Class Lower Division or Lower Credit.

(iii) Must have completed NYSC and not be more than 30 years of age.

(2). The Technical Trainee Programme which is aimed at building technical talents, willalso be for a duration of one-year. The selection criteria for candidates into the programme are as follows:

(i) OND in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.

(ii) Must have at least a Lower Credit.

(iii) Must not be more than 30 years of age.

After 12 months of training, BEDC will further test and choose from these successful applicants.

Applications begin January 9, 2018 and close February 21, 2019. Only shortlisted applicants will be contacted for further processing. Training is expected to start mid-March 2019, and extend till February 2020. Possibility of employment follows training.
