EKSG Dialogue With AGCO Africa For Mechanization Of Key Agric Projects

Ekiti State Government has met with the technical team of AGCO Corporation – a global manufacturer and distributor of agricultural equipments, to discuss possible areas of collaboration and partnership in order to build reliable and resilient food production capacity in the State, for domestic demand and export.

AGCO Corporation seek to deliver agricultural solutions to farmers through a full line of tractors, combine harvesters, hay and forage equipment, seeding and tillage implements, grain storage and protein production systems, as well as replacement parts.

The Corporation’s Vice President and GM of Africa, Nuradin Osman and his team have visited key agric centres in Ekiti State including Poultry Processing Plants, College of Technical and Commercial Agriculture, Isan Ekiti and other mechanised farm centres.

AGCO shares in the government’s pledge to promote investment in strategic sectors of the State such as agro-industry by developing a sustainable agriculture ecosystem and empowering Ekiti farmers through the integration of high-tech solutions and agronomy.

The Fayemi-led administration is keen to leverage on the company’s global presence to turn the State’s agriculture potential into reality, especially in growing markets.
