December 17, 2012

The Chairman of the Ekiti State Urban Renewal Agency, Engr. Babatunde Fakoyede has urged Contractors handling beautification projects in Ado-Ekiti to increase their work pace in order to meet the December deadline.

Engr. Fakoyede who gave the charge in Ado-Ekiti while inspecting the projects, expressed displeasure at the slow pace at which the projects were being executed noting that it was unacceptable for contractors that have been fully mobilized to continue to foot-drag on such important projects.
The Chairman however commended the contractors handling the fencing of Christ School gate for doing a good job but admonished him to complete work on the perimeter fencing of the school on schedule.

Fakoyede also charged the horticulturist in charge of planting of flowers to always wet and tender the flowers during the dry season as well as add manure to the soil.

He disclosed that his Agency had evaluated and terminated the contract of the beautification project at Ojumose area of Ado – Ekiti and that of Ikere road.
On Agric Olope Market, Fakoyede said 120 (One hundred and twenty) open shops were built to accommodate traders displaced at Bisi Egbeyemi market, while 140 lock-up shops were built for other traders.
