Ekiti State Commissioner for Health, Professor Olusola Fasuba has expressed dissatisfaction over the attitude of some health workers in the state.
Professor Fasuba who made the remark during an unscheduled visit to Okesa Comprehensive Health Centre in Ado, frowned at the unethical and carefree attitude of the workers.
The Commissioner described health workers as people employed by the State Government to save lives adding that any worker found mal-treating patients would face disciplinary action.
Professor Fasuba called on Medical Officers in the State to be alive to their responsibilities, urging them to continue to treat maternal cases with urgency.
The Commissioner who said that the State Government has spent a lot on health care services in the state called for attitudinal change on the part of health workers to improve patronage of government health care facilities across the state.
