Ekiti State Head of Service, Mrs. Olapeju Babafemi has described a former Permanent Secretary, late Dr. Adediran Ladele as a man who gave his best to the Civil Service while in the saddle.
Speaking on behalf of the State Governor, Dr. Kayode Fayemi at the Funeral Service of Dr. Ladele at St Luke’s Anglican Church, Ile Abiye, Ado-Ekiti, the Head of Service, commended the patriotic spirit of the deceased which saw him jettison juicy appointment overseas to serve his people in Ekiti.
She described him as humane, diligent and a selfless man who was always eager to help everyone who crossed his path, particularly as a Medical Practitioner.
The Head of Service, who attended the Funeral in the company of many incumbent and retired Permanent Secretaries to accord the departed the last respect, consoled that there was no reason to mourn the deceased as he lived a fruitful and impactful life, leaving behind enviable legacies.
Earlier in his sermon titled ‘After Death; What next?’ Rev. Oluwafemi Ademiluyi charged the congregation to cultivate impeccable characters and prepare for the life, hereafter.
He eulogized the deceased for committing his life, time and resources to the service of God and humanity till he breathed his last.
The late Dr. Adediran Ladele was a foremost physician and astute administrator who worked in many hospitals both at the old Ondo State and Ekiti State until he was appointed as a Permanent Secretary. He retired from active service in 2006.
