Ekiti State Government has appealed to residents and commuters plying the Ureje and Igirigiri road at Odo–Ado to be patient and law-abiding as rehabilitation works continue at the Ureje Bridge and other alternative roads in Ado-Ekiti, the state capital.
The Director-General, Public Works Corporation, Mr. Sunday Awoyomi made this appeal while having a chat with newsmen in his office.
The appeal came as a result of the on-going road repairs at the only main road leading to Poly road, Odo Ado, which has caused gridlock along other alternative roads created for motorists.
The road, which is behind the new Ado Local Government Area Office at Igirigiri, is also the only alternative route leading to Poly road and is becoming almost impassable owing to numerous damaged vehicles along the route.
Mr. Awoyomi, who appealed for the cooperation of road users and adherence to diversion signs, assured that the on-going rehabilitation works on the Ureje bridge and other alternative roads will be completed soon.
