The Ekiti State Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning, Hon. Femi Ajayi has charged the contractor handling Ilupeju-Ire-Igbemo-Ijan road to expedite action so as to deliver on time.
The Commissioner made the call while monitoring the project with his team from the ministry. Hon. Ajayi said the monitoring became necessary to put the project on the right track. According to him, the project would boost the socio-economic activities of the people of the areas when completed.
The Commissioner who stressed the commitment of the present administration to quality projects urged the people of the areas to always monitor the project to enable them get maximum benefit from the project. He urged the motorists plying the road to cooperate with the people working there by exercising patient to avert accident.
Reacting, the representative of the company handling the project, Mr Owoniya Olaiya said the major challenge slowing down the work is the rainfall but assured that the project would be delivered to specifications despite all odds. Members of the community, Mr Awelogun Solomon and Mr Samuel Folorunso who could not hid their feelings thanked the State Government constructing the road, saying that it would improve their economic activities.
