Residents of Ekiti State are to hold the June edition of the monthly environmental sanitation exercise on Saturday 27th June 2020.
A statement from the office of the Commissioner for Environment and Natural Resources, Hon. Gbenga Agbeyo made available to newsmen in Ado-Ekiti stressed that all residents are expected to clean their respective areas during the exercise.
The statement emphasized the need for all stakeholders to participate in the cleaning exercise particularly in view of the prevailing global pandemic, warning that the State and Local Government Environmental Task Force on COVID-19 would also be on hand to monitor the Exercise and enforce compliance.
Stressing that movement of vehicles, pedestrians and motorcyclists would, as usual, be restricted; the statement cautioned that anybody caught would be prosecuted accordingly.
