Governor Fayemi Constitues Judicial Commission Of Inquiry On Lands And Related Matters

The Governor of Ekiti State, Dr Kayode Fayemi has constituted a Judicial Panel of Inquiry on Lands and Related Matters.

The Judicial Panel was constituted in response to growing concerns of citizens about the increase in cases of land grabbling and other fraudulent land transactions in the state.

Members of the judicial panel are:

1) Hon Justice Adekunle Adeleye – Chairman

2) Hon. Johnson Remi Olorunleke – Member

3) Ifedayo Osadola Esq – Member

4) Tosanbami Odudu – Secretary

The Commission’s Terms of Reference are:

i) To receive and examine complaints from individuals and corporate entities on matters arising from the implementation of Executive 0rder 008 on Land Administration and Related Matters and where necessary make recommendations to the Governor for remedial measures or any other measures as appropriate.

ii) Examine and ascertain whether government land or part of it have been illegally acquired /occupied/converted to private use and identify the persons responsible and make recommendations for recovery and appropriate sanctions.

iv) Make recommendations to the government based on their findings on or before 1 January 2021.
