Governor Fayemi appoints Isan-Ekiti monarch as Chairman of Ekiti Council of Obas

The Onisan of Isan-Ekiti, Oba Gabriel Ayodele Adejuwon had been appointed by governor Kayode Fayemi as the new Chairman of the Ekiti State Council of Traditional Rulers.

Oba Adejuwon replaced the former occupant and Alawe of Ilawe-Ekiti, Oba Ajibade Alabi who tenure expires on July 31, 2021.

Commending Governor Fayemi, the outgoing chairman, Oba Alabi congratulated his successor Oba Adejuwon describing him as equally capable of leading the council for another two years.

Oba Alabi, in a statement made available to journalists by his media Adviser Chief Ajibade Olubunmi described the appointment of Oba Adejuwon as his successor as appropriate and well- deserved stating that the monarch has the wherewithal to lead the council.

The monarch expressed gratitude to the Governor of Ekiti State, His Excellency, Dr Kayode Fayemi for appointing the Onisan who he noted would continue with the good work going on in the Council having served meritoriously as the chairman of the Council’s Education Committee for two consecutive terms.

He said, “Onisan has a deep understanding of the workings of the Council which he will bring to bear in his new position as the Council Chairman”

Oba Alabi prayed to God to grant the new Chairman wisdom and good health during his tenure and beyond.
