Ekiti State has successfully concluded the migration of its payment system through the online real time e-payment system with the Nigerian Inter-Bank Settlement System.
The April 2012 salaries of Ekiti State Employees was made by direct payment to their individual accounts through the online real time e-payment system without going through the rigours of e-payment system of bankers, thus cutting off banking processing time and multiplicity of COT charges on some categories of workers.
Being a new development, the Ministry of Finance who is responsible for this new feat is anticipatory of a few “POST PAYMENT ISSUES” that will arise. The Commissioner for Finance, Mr Dapo Kolawole do solicit the support of individuals that might be affected by this new development to route all such issues to the Ministry of Finance through the Director of Finance/ Permanent Secretary or equivalents in the affected MDAs.
In order to address these issues promptly, a dedicated “HELPDESK” has been established in the Ministry of Finance to facilitate the resolution of all the post-payment issues. All such issues collated by each MDA should, therefore, be submitted at the HELP DESK for processing and resolution. The HELP DESK operates between the hours of 8am and 6pm daily (including Saturdays and Sundays).
Employees and political appointees who have not done their Data Capture/Biometric exercise will be paid manually this month.
However, this group of employees must complete their Data capture/ Biometric exercise before they are paid their April salaries in order to prevent a re-occurrence of these exceptions in subsequent months.
All further enquiries should be directed to the following email addresses: helpdesk.mof@ekitistate.gov.ng or info.payroll@ekitistate.gov.ng.
